Spray Foam Insulation

.5lb Icynene Classic CDR-50   |  .5lb  Icynene Renewable LDR-50   |    2.0lb Closed Cell Foam    |   Fiberglass Batt Insulation

At Enviro-Safe Foam, we offer our customers competitive spray foam options for their residential and commercial projects. Whether you are looking for a soft .5lb spray foam (Icynene Classic), a "renewable resource spray foam product like LDR-50, or a 2.0lb closed cell foam for your project. We also offer fiberglass batt options to our customers that are using spray foam in other parts of their projects so that you only need to hire one contractor to finish your insulation needs.

Spray foam technology has been used for insulation for almost 50 years and has come a long way since the early days of the Urea Based, Formaldehyde foam products. We are now using water based foam that has reduced the petroleum content to safe levels and developed a way to use plain water as the blowing agent versus formaldehyde. The result is a safe, healthy, energy efficient insulation product that will effectively save you money and provide a comfortable living environment for as long as you own the your home.

We now offer a new renewable spray foam:"LDR-50", made from castor oil beans. It is derived from a process that has minimal effect on our fragile eco system. No pesticides, no irrigation or automated process is required to produce the oil and it replaces more of the petroleum in our water based foam product resulting in a "Greener" insulation option than our Classic Icynene(CDR-50).

Many commercial and industrial projects require a denser foam product. That is why we now offer a 2.0lb closed cell foam to our customers. It is a rigid product that provides twice the R-value of typical spray foams. However, we strongly recommend against not using a product like closed cell foam in a family residences. Even thought most closed cell foams are "water blown", they still are highly flammable and off gas for the life of the product. Since it is rigid, it will not move with the home when it naturally expands and contracts in our heating zone, thus allowing the potential for separation from the wood structure versus the flexibility of using a soft foam instead.

Icynene "Classic" CDR-50 Spray Foam Insulation
Applied as a liquid, Icynene® expands to 100 times its volume in seconds to fill every crack and crevice while remaining flexible so that the integrity of the building envelope seal remains intact over time. Icynene’s spray formula has an R-value of 3.6 per inch. It acts as a complete insulation and air barrier to minimize air leakage and seal the building envelope for optimal air tightness.

The Best Insulation Solution
On the market since 1988, Icynene has proven itself in thousands of homes and business across not only North America but also around the World. Icynene is the only fully integrated insulation system offering a healthier, quieter, more energy efficient solution to help you maximize indoor air quality. Please choose from the sub-menu above to choose from a variety of options associated with Icynene. If you require more detailed information please visit the www.Icynene.com website.

Always a Custom Fit.
Icynene is custom made at your project site from combining liquid components manufactured and supplied by Icynene Inc.It is then installed by our certified licensed technicians. In just a few seconds Icynene bonds directly with the substrate while providing a flexible open celled barrier that eliminates virtually all air and moisture movement. Every crack and crevice is now sealed from air infiltration.

Controlling Your Indoor Environment
All buildings need an adequate air supply to maintain an optimum IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) level. There are many products on the market that can help solve this problem. If you would like to know more about these types of products then click on the link in the Icynene Main Topics Menu.

Icynene "Renewable" lDR-50 Spray Foam Insulation
Applied as a liquid, Icynene® expands to 100 times its volume in seconds to fill every crack and crevice while remaining flexible so that the integrity of the building envelope seal remains intact over time. Icynene’s spray formula has an R-value of 3.7 per inch. It acts as a complete insulation and air barrier to minimize air leakage and seal the building envelope for optimal air tightness.

The Renewable Difference
Our newest Icynene insulation product is made from "Castor Oil" beans and derived from a eco-friendly process. It is a climate friendly, light density, soft spray foam and air barrier that contributes to a healthier indoor envirnment..LDR-50 is the next generation of Icynene. It is considered a organic polyol material that contains 7% renewable content. It surpasses USDA & ICC requirements for a rapidly renewable product and is approved for USDA BioPreferred Program. LDR-50 is also U.S. Green Council and LEED certified.

Why Castor Oil?
Castor oil is 100% naturally filtered with no chemical additives required.
Castor oil crops need no irrigation or treatment with pesticides or fungicides and the harvesting process is manual.
Castor beans are designated as a high yield crop that equals 40%, compared to soy based spray foam that has a yield of only 17%.
Castor bean crops do not compete with food crops and can be grown in marginal land sources where food crops cannot.

"Bay Seal" 2.0lb Closed Cell Spray Foam Insulation

Recommended Applications
Closed cell foam was originally developed as a commercial/industrial product that works most effectively in steel/metal applications or high moisture prone areas. We do not recommend using closed cell foam in a wood structure due to its rigid nature, flammability, and unhealthy off-gassing properties. Great for Steel structures, Quonset Huts, Garages,Etc... If it is necessary or specified for use than we will supply a proposal but strongly recommend a soft foam option instead.

Pro's & Con's
Closed Cell foam has twice the R-value(6.9per inch) of regular spray foam (3.6). It completely stops all air movement and air infiltration. However, most closed cell foams off gas for the life of the product, they are highly flammable and require fire rating no matter where it is installed.
